The 830 Brickell tower developers announced the start of vertical construction.
Developer Vladislav Doronin of OKO Group held an event to mark the start of the vertical climb. Completion is on track for 2021.
The tower will become the second tallest office building in Miami at 724 feet above ground when it is completed in 2021. It is also the first major new office building in Miami’s urban core in 10 years.
An upscale rooftop restaurant and bar is planned on level 56 and 57, which the developers say will energize the building at night. There will also be a sky lobby on level 30 with a cafe and a nearly 2,500-square-foot health and wellness center.
Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, which designed the world’s tallest buildings, Burj Khalifa, Jeddah Tower and the tallest residential building in the U.S., New York’s Central Park Tower, is the architect. Interiors are by Italy’s Iosa Ghini Associati, led by Massimo Iosa Ghini. Landscape architecture is by Enzo Enea of Switzerland.
Michael Dell’s MSD Partners provided $300 million in financing.
OKO Group, led by Vladislav Doronin, is the developer, along with partner Cain International.
