Another attempt by Omar Amanat to defeat Vladislav Doronin’s legitimate defence in the Aman Group’s shareholder dispute failed in the High Court in London following an interlocutory hearing on Friday 7th November. Amanat’s attempts to prevent the defences of both Doronin’s and Eliasch’s companies being filed and to obtain judgment in default as a result in the overall matter failed. Both claims were rejected and the court ordered Amanat to pay both parties’ costs.
Vladislav Doronin, Aman Group’s largest shareholder and an international businessman said, “I am busy helping improve the Aman Group for the long term with the announcement of the opening of Tokyo Aman and my urbanisation vison. I believe that Mr Amanat is wasting the court’s time and trying to distract me from my work with tactical, unmeritorious applications.”
