In a judgment officially handed down last night, Wednesday 24th September, following a hearing in the High Court in London on Friday 19th September, Peak Hotels and Resorts Limited, Mr Omar Amanat’s company, once again failed in its attempt to prevent Johan Eliasch, the businessman and Chairman of Head, the global sporting goods group from exercising his duties on the Aman Group Board.

His Honour Judge Pelling QC, presiding over the case in London dismissed Mr Amanat’s company’s application and set directions for a full trial in relation to the Aman Group dispute for later next year (2015). Mr Amanat has therefore failed in his attempt to interfere and prevent the Aman Group board from operating effectively.

Mr Vladislav Doronin, the international Real Estate developer and majority shareholder of Aman Group said, “I am pleased with this result – we have a clear and important job to do to make the Aman Group even better by developing the Aman Group carefully around the world.”

Mr Doronin went on to say, “We have recently hired one of the most highly experienced dedicated hotel teams with a strong vision that can deliver the excellence in the Aman brand that our clients have always demanded. With this latest board room disruption behind us– we can now get on with the job.”
